An excellent woman, loves the Lord with all her heart, finds beauty, rest, and peace worshipping the Lord. She strives to have a home in order. She isn’t perfect, it’s not even her goal. She’s humbled by the lessons in life the Lord leads her through. She’s thankful for grace. She’s forgiving. She remembers to stop and smell the roses and remembers to get lost in the imagination play of her children. She grows and prepares food for her family with a joyful heart. She’s gentle. Nurturing. Submissive. And always learning, practicing patience, and her hope is to build a joy filled and peaceful home for her family, not to curate or replicate current cultural norms or society’s latest trends. Summed up, beauty from grace, humbled by life’s lessons, always listening to the Lords leanings. A woman I strive to be.

A good steward of the home and children if she has them. Submits and respects her husband by following his lead, not in a silent way but in the way that God commands. Works on being a Godly woman by spending time in the word and in prayer.

When I think of an excellant woman, I think of my Grandmother. She 'had no rights' and served her husband like it was the best calling in the world. She LOVED studying the Bible, took God at His word (meaning she just trusted what He said and that was that), laughed without fear of the future (even when she was diagnosed with cancer), only lived to please the Lord even when it was out of place or awkward when compared to what's considered "normal" in our culture, bathed EVERYTHING in prayer (even in the middle of conversation!), and was always praising God! (constantly had worship, hymns, christmas or instrumental music playing!)

A women who builds up her home, instead of destroying it. Being aware and alert in this time and knowing the season for her family. A women that understands time is changing and it won’t always be like this. A women that understands the end times and listens to the Holy Spirit. Also a women who is smart and wise and careful in her words and actions as a role model for her children.

Something I have began to study and practice being a new mom.

An excellent woman, or a woman of honor, recognizes she was created by God according to His image with a divine purpose, to be a helpmeet. She loves the Lord and lives for the praises of His Glory. She is humble with a meek and quiet spirit. Prudent in her tongue, soon to listen. She sits at the feet of her Master. She is strong and prudent. She learns and builds her home with a joyful spirit. She keeps and meditates in her heart those things she doesn't understand waiting on His time. She seeks to bring good to her husband and she trust her. "The true wife needs to be no mere poet's dream, no artist's picture, no ethereal lady too fine for use, but a woman healthful, strong, practical, industrious, with a hand for life's common duties, yet crowned with the beauty with a high and noble purpose gives to a soul" JR Miller
